The main dinner will be held in one of the conference rooms away from the main hotel area with its own reception area and restrooms. So this year we will not be in opposition to other parties.
There is one change to my earlier announcement - I have rescinded my decision to have the welcoming drinks on the outside patio as it is at the opposite end of the Hotel to where the dinner will be held. Therefore the welcoming drinks will be held at the conference room reception area.
In the reception area there will also be a full bar set up on the Saturday evening which is dedicated for our use. NO! the drinks are NOT free we still have to pay for them.
So far there has been little interest in a disco and as we are into May the chances of booking one are getting less and less so no disco on the Saturday evening.
The golf is another area where the interest has been lacking. At present we only have 6 golfers showing interest and again the tournament may have to be dropped. I am still prepared to set up tee times at a local club for those who wish to play a round of golf.
On 23rd Aug. Royal Windsor Racecourse are holding their last meet of the season but it is an evening event which coincides with the reunion dinner. The event opens at 15:20 hrs.
If any of those coming to the reunion wish to be part of a group going to the above activities please let me know stating the activity you wish to attend and we shall try and organise something.
Likewise I need to know your preference for the Friday evening. Do we do the same as last year and organise a dinner at a local Pub or do you want to do your own thing? Again I need an email.
Remember! The rooms can only be kept open until June 30th. Once our quota has been taken up you may have to book into a different venue. So, please start booking NOW.

Last September we launched our website Uk-aramcons and I am pleased to inform you that it has had positive feedback in the past 8 months. The site has had 1,916 visitors looking at 24,979 pages but perhaps it could have been better if more information had been posted. The Noticeboard has proved the most popular carrying messages of people looking for old friends plus a few obituaries. Many emails have been received from all over, including Canada, the Caribbean, France, Ireland and New Zealand, expressing delight that there is now a website for UK Aramcons. To keep the website in focus your participation is paramount, so please send in your photos of Mini-Reunions, Birthday Parties, Family Weddings etc and, for those about to retire from Aramco, your Retirement Photos and the Arabian Sun Article pertaining to your retirement. Email them to uk-aramcons@ukaramcons.co.uk .
Regards Tom.
