Unfortunately next year there is a limit to the number of people who can attend the Reunion Dinner.  The Hotel Function Room can only cater for 120 to a sit down dinner. Therefore it is more important this time to make your booking early to guarantee a room and a place at the 3rd Ukaramcon Reunion Dinner.

Eileen and I visited the Hotel last week and found the rooms to be very well furnished with a fantastic view of Edinburgh. (When booking your room, remember to ask for a room with a City view.) From that aspect you can see over the top of Edinburgh City across to the Castle and Arthur's Seat.
Click on link to see more photos.

All the rooms were renovated last year with the reception area, bar and restaurant, due for renovation this summer.

The Hotel is approximately 20 minutes walk from Princes Street for those who are still energetic, if not buses (No. 41) pass by frequently from the front of the Hotel.
I'm told Princes Street is a great shopping centre and of course there is :-

There is also a shopping center across the road from the Hotel e.g. Marks & Spencers, T. K. Maxx, Boots, Mamas & Papas, Homebase, and Sainsburys. Marks & Spencers, and Sainsbury have a cafes and there is Kentucky Fried Chicken for those who want more than a sandwich.

For more information on the above attractions click on the photos or links.

It is hoped to run the event the same as last year - Thursday evening out locally for dinner and drinks and on the Friday a meal at a Toby-Carvery Restaurant which is nearby (approx. 2 miles). Transportation from the Hotel to the venues will be arranged and costs will be advised once numbers have been confirmed.

Golf will also be arranged at one of the many courses around Edinburgh and depending again on numbers a fun Tournament will be held.

For all of these events I would like the help of 2 co-ordinators for each. I shall set up the golf, dinners and transport and the co-ordinators would be required to supervise them as they take place. Please email me if you are interested in helping. A few people are also required to set-up, decorate and prepare flowers for the tables on the Saturday.

Regards Tom & Eileen.
