Cardiff is a warm and hospitable City as is the Hotel and Staff. The Hotel is beside the Millennium Stadium and on the edge of the City Centre Shopping area.

In the heart of the capital city is Cardiff Castle, a truly remarkable site with a history that spans over 2000 years. Roman soldiers slept here, noble knights held court here, and the Bute family, with extraordinary wealth and vision, transformed the Castle into a romantic Victorian fantasy.
It is also one of the Bus stops where the City-Sightseeing Tour Bus can be boarded. See the old and the new Cardiff from the top of an open top tour bus, Millennium Centre, and the exciting new developments of Cardiff Bay, including Cardiff Bay Barrage. Also see the magnificient Millennium Stadium.
Opposite the Castle are lots of tourist shops and old fashioned arcades with numerous cafés. You can either, walk along the Castle street to the shopping area or take one of the arcades, enjoy a sandwich and coffee or soft drink at one of the Cafés, relax, sitting under a roofed lane.

The other option is along Castle/Duke Street, pop into one of the many public bars for a refreshing drink before hitting Queen St. and the usual modern shop names. To enjoy something more Welsh, visit the High Street and the many arcades where you can find local vendors.

Throughout the City Centre you will find various restaurants – American, Thai, Turkish, Italian, Japanese, Pizza, Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, enough to satisfy all tastes. The Hotel has ‘Callaghan’s’ Irish Bar which is also open to the Public and can be entered via the Hotel Lobby.
Just five minutes from the city centre, is Cardiff Bay and the Mermaid Quay which overlooks the waterfront where Cardiff comes to relax. It is a perfect destination for relaxing, partying or splashing out on a bit of retail therapy or personal pampering. The wealth of waterfront restaurants, cafés and bars with menus from around the world mean there's something for every taste and pocket - from a quick snack to a leisurely, luxury meal.

Other attractions around Cardiff Bay include –
Cardiff Bay Barrage
The Cardiff Bay Barrage itself is 1.1km long and extends from Cardiff docks in the north to Penarth in the south. This major civil engineering construction project subsequently led to the impoundment of the bay that has over 13km of waterfront.
Goleulong 2000 Lightship

The lightship Helwick LV14 was built and commissioned by Trinity House in 1953. It was brought to Cardiff Bay in 1993 and restored to create a floating Christian Centre.
Red Dragon Centre

Located in the heart of Cardiff Bay, the Red Dragon Centre is one of the most exciting destinations in the area, offering a complete leisure and entertainment experience all under one roof.
Wales Millennium Centre

Wales Millennium Centre opened in 2004 and has already established its reputation as one of the world`s iconic arts and cultural destinations. The vision of the Centre is to be an internationally significant cultural landmark and centre for the performing arts, renowned for inspiration, excellence and leadership.
Norwegian Church

Formerly a Norwegian Sailors Church, the Centre is one of the landmark buildings on Cardiff Bay’s waterfront and a renowned cultural venue.
Newly refurbished in May 2011, this unique venue hosts live music, functions and an art gallery with local exhibitions.
